At Pong Kenya we have a variety of cloud products like Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365, GSuite and AWS. Cloud products have a huge pay off to your organization and its benefits are quantifiable.

Pong Agencies Ltd recognizes that one of the biggest hurdles companies face is acquiring IT infrastructure. Acquiring servers and setting up on premise data centers is a very costly affair and more often than not the costs are paid up front. The cloud basically has transferred most of these functions online and provided a pay per use pricing model. This saves costs tenfold, companies can now use the cloud to scale applications horizontally and vertically as well as offer support to legacy systems within your organization.

At Pong Agencies we have a variety of cloud products like Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365, GSuite and AWS.

Cloud products have a huge pay off to your organization and its benefits are quantifiable. Cloud computing is secure since there are a broad set of policies, controls and technical expertise that go behind securing your data in cloud servers. Products come with data loss prevention that insures organizations whenever servers malfunction for whatever reason.

Cloud computing is cost effective because the burden of installing servers, racks and hiring technical staff are shifted to the cloud provider. The cloud also reduces the total cost of ownership. The cost of owning a product is broken down into the cost of the product, maintenance costs and the training required. TCO is lowered as maintenance costs is taken up by the cloud provider.

Scalability is a key benefit of cloud computing, organizations can scale their applications according to their needs, be it adding computing power or scaling up to accommodate more users on their applications.

Cloud services can be deployed in three different ways:

Public clouds are accessible to the public. Data is created and stored on third party servers. Server infrastructure is owned and managed by the service provider thus eliminating the cost of hardware acquisition. Public clouds have advantages and disadvantages:

Advantages
  • Cost-effectiveness
  • Scalability
  • Unsophisticated setup and use
  • Continuous operation time
Disadvantages
  • Data security and privacy aren’t assured
  • Compromised reliability
  • Inability to manage hardware resources on your own.

A company owns a private cloud. The design of a private cloud does not differ much with that of a public one. Despite being owned by a company a private cloud can be managed by a third party as well as being hosted externally or on premise.

Advantages
  • Individual deployment
  • High control of corporate information
  • High security, privacy and reliability
  • Storage and network components are customizable
Disadvantages
  • High setup cost

Combines the best features of private and public clouds.

Advantages
  • Mission critical workloads can be stored on private clouds to ensure continuous service delivery to clients while less critical work functions can be deployed on the public cloud to enhance load balancing.
  • Cost effectiveness in terms of paying for the public cloud only when you use public cloud resources.
  • It provides support for legacy systems as these systems can be run and managed from the private cloud while also having the utility to deploy modern apps on either public or private apps.
Disadvantages
  • High initial set up cost when compared to the cost of deploying public clouds.
  • If not picked correctly, cloud compatibility can become a real nuisance for Hybrid Cloud environments. A fast performing on premise infrastructure may not be able to successfully perform in coherence with a slow performing public infrastructure resulting in a sluggish performance of the Hybrid Cloud.
