License Plans for Office365
Interested in Office365 but not sure where to start, fear not because Pong Agencies got you covered. There are various license plans in the Office365 array. Plans range from essentials, business, business premium and enterprise plans. In this blog we shall be covering each of these plans. I will start by breaking down these plans into two simple categories: Business plans and Enterprise Plans.
Business plans can be categorized into Office365 Business Essentials, Office365 Business and Office365 Business Premium. These plans are devoted to small and medium sized businesses with employees in the range of 1 – 250.
Office365 Business Essentials
Office apps are provided through web and mobile platforms. There are no desktop versions that can be installed. Office online contains the following services Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote for collaborating on documents. Other services included are OneDrive for Business that comes with 1TB of storage, Yammer, Teams, Skype4Business, SharePoint and Exchange Online. This plan is ideal for small businesses seeking to work with office applications at minimal costs to their budgets.
This plan provides you with both online and desktop versions of the office applications you know and love. It consists of the following applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Publisher as well as 1TB of OneDrive for Business storage. This plan is ideal for businesses that want to transition from the traditional Office suite offering. They get to enjoy the benefits of the cloud and get to work in an environment that is consistent with their traditional Office suite.
Office365 Business Premium
Business Premium comes with the applications offered in Office365 Business with added services such as Exchange, SharePoint, Skype4Business, Teams and Yammer. This plan is for businesses that are seeking to mix up their efforts in team collaboration and improve internal communication through applications such as Teams and Yammer.
These plans are usually dedicated to enterprises who have more than 250 employees. However, this plan is not limited to enterprises only, small and medium sized businesses seeking to reap benefits of applications in these plans can still do so.
Anyway, let us dive into the enterprise plans. There are four categories in this plan: Office 365 ProPlus, Office365 E1, Office 365 E3 and Office 365 E5.
Office 365 ProPlus
Applications in this plan are accessible through desktops, mobile and online platforms. They include: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Publisher. Services included are 1TB OneDrive for Business, Skype4Business, FastTrack assistance and 24/7 Support
Office 365 E1
Comprises of Online versions of Office applications and business services. Office desktop applications are NOT included. Services include OneDrive for Business, Skype4Business, Exchange, Teams, Yammer, five layers of security and monitoring to help keep your data safe and a guaranteed SLA of 99.9% uptime.
Office 365 E3
Applications in this suite are accessible through desktop, web and mobile platforms. They consist of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, OneNote, Publisher. Services in this package are OneDrive for Business, Exchange, SharePoint, Skype4Business, Teams and Yammer. Additional services include 24/7 support and SLA of 99.9% uptime.
Office 365 E5
This suite comes with online and desktop version of office applications. It has an added advantage of having Power BI as an application. This is a powerful data visualization tool that gives meaningful insights into various departments. Other services in this suite include SharePoint, Exchange, Skype4Business, Teams, Yammer, mailbox protection with advanced threat protection for Exchange Online, guaranteed 99.9% uptime and 24/7 support.
